The initial inspection of the engine bay determines what course of action needs to be taken and what items the customer wishes to be replaced, painted and polished.

In this instance, the bodywork was rusting around the top of the struts and fuse box next to the ABS pump, the front cross member was very patchy. A large amount of sun bleaching had occured on the cam covers, air box and dip stick.

As the engine is stripped down the full extent of how dirty this engine bay was, is revealed, this was not a particularly neglected vehicle, the engine was well serviced, it just needed a lot of TLC

With the engine stripped all of the bodywork was flatted back and the rust treated, everything was then etch primed and painted in body colour with a layer of lacquer for a good shine

The finished item, aluminium intake pipe, strut cap covers, coil pack covers with Jaguar engraved and painted, engine chest plate cleaned and painted, all tensioners and idlers painted, polished water pipe, polished V8 supercharger top plate, supercharger and coolers painted red, aluminium fluid cap set with matching engraving painted red, CDA air box, all black plastic and piping refurbished back to its original look, pipe clips replaced with Mikalor clamps.
